April 2009
Finally sewed the back on. It looks great! T picked out the Snoopy fabric himself, and he couldn’t have chosen a better color match.
Feb. 2009
I’ll call this done now, even though I still need to put fabric on the back. I love how it looks with the whole border on. Still have to get pics of it with the border!

Still working on the border. Argh! More than halfway now. Will have to throw a party when it’s finished.

All squares are done and sewn together. Crazy amount of work. I would have finished most of the border by now if I hadn’t gotten a defective needle tip from Knitpicks. The replacement is supposedly on the way. Sigh. I do love how it turned out so far, and I wrapped it up for Christmas anyway. :-)

Only 3 squares left! And lots of the sewing is finished, too. I had hoped to finish more of it during this trip, but I’m still excited about my progress. When I get home after Thanksgiving, I’ll have to set it aside temporarily and finish other small Christmas gifts first. But I still hope to get it done (at least the whole border, if I can’t finish the back) and wrapped up for Christmas.

I’ve been busy sewing squares together and haven’t had time to knit more. I think I’m working on #48. Can’t believe how many seams there are! And I’m being a perfectionist about it, of course, and ripping out some to redo them. This is going to take a while, but it sure is going to be a great blanket! I just ordered more of the dark bright blue for the border, since my math-brain husband estimated that I would run short on that color.
I’m taking this on our 2-week trip to Florida and hope to have knocked out all or most of it by the time we return!
Nov. 4, 2008
Now finished with #45 out of 56. I’m going to try to get this finished (except for the border & back) before we leave on a trip a week from Saturday. We’ll see if I can do it!

Working on #39. Have sewn lots of squares together and redesigned the leftover squares. Now to order 3 more skeins so I don’t run out of certain colors …
Oct. 2008
On square #33 and have a lot of them sewn together already. Only trouble lately is finding knitting time! I think maybe I’ll finish 10 or so more squares and then have another blocking and sewing party. Still loving the yarn and the colors. Munchkin picked out a fabric for the back: Snoopy! Good choice, kiddo!
Sept. 2008
Almost halfway with the square knitting! I’ve sewn a lot of them together already in order to avoid all the sewing stress at the end. Man, that sewing is time-consuming, but it’s exciting to see it all coming together. I just marked myself at 40% on this project, because I’ll still have to add a border and I want to sew on a fabric backing if I can figure that out (Mooooommmmm, help!!!).
July 2008
Ordered a bunch of colors -- what fun! Now I’ve finished 5 squares. Will try to upload photos soon.
June 2008
Two squares down, 54 to go! I started the blanket with some of the leftovers from T’s pillow. The yarn cost is going to add up quickly, so I’m waiting a bit to order more.
