planning 60 stripes (120 rows)

I wanted to do a random looking pattern without it actually being random. I came up with a plan (pic attached) that works I think.

This is going to be a vertical stripe and it’s about 67 inches long without a border.

Lesson learned - do NOT do a foundation chain. When adding a border of granny stripe, it leaves bigger holes that are noticeable because of the foundation sc chain. While not a disaster, I will not do a foundation sc chain on future blankets in this pattern.

Timeline

{Feb.21.2012} - started - this is working up fast!

{Feb.22.2012} - 9 stripes done (18 rows)

{Feb.26.2012} - 20 stripes done (40 rows)

{Feb.28.2012} - 26 stripes done (52 rows)

{Apr.05.2012} - 43 stripes done (86 rows) and I’ve also started to weave some ends in

{May.16.2012} - 50 stripes done (100 rows) and I’ve got a lot more ends weaved in too - doing that as I go along for the most part now.

{May.22.2012} - 56 stripes done (112 rows)

{May.28.2012} - 60 stripes done (120 rows) - main part done and all ends weaved in. Now just the border to do!

{Jun.4.2012} - finally done! border = one row of granny in grey heather, one row of dc in seaspray, one row of sc in oxford grey and then the final picot row in oxford grey.
