Yay! blocking my first lace shawl!! I’m very happy with it even though the yarn colors tend to mute the lace work a little. I actually shopped for the yarn after listening to Laura explain the need to be careful not to get a yarn with colors that would create an “argument,” and I think I got one anyway. :P I love the Craftsy class format and Laura is a GREAT instructor. All the errors in my shawl are my own! Now, on to Clarus…

just started this Craftsy course, Mastering Lace Shawls, with Laura Nelkin -- knitting Skywalker, my first lace shawl! I’m excited, but finding I have to take breaks and knit something mindless for a while before I can go back to the fussy stuff .. we’ll see how it goes
