I used a dk cotton/acrylic blend self-striping yarn that I bought on our holiday in Budapest. I just loved the colours and bought 3 x 100g balls without a project in mind!
This used about 150g so with the rest I’m going to make a knitted monster - I’ll post info about that once it’s done.
The cardigan is simple and stress-free and best of all there is no sewing (except for the 6 buttons on the button band) because I did the sleeves on DPNs (which is not what the instructions said).
I hope Sofia likes it.
The red and blue cardigan I made for yet-to-arrive baby Oliver. His daddy is very tall so I made the 6-12 months size in some left-over wool-cotton and some cotton bamboo. Because this was the first time I had knitted this pattern I followed the instructions (almost to the letter) and I had then to sew up the undersides of the arms which were knitted flat. I chose when to change colours just as I felt like and I think it looks pretty good. I hope that Oliver’s mummy and daddy will not hate it!
