Notes

Heavily modified

I love garter stitch so decided to make the whole cardigan in just this stitch - makes for a drapier fabric and also meant that despite being a curvy woman, even the S/M size is loose on me - perfect!

Once I tried it on, it was clear that the ‘cut out’ area at the front was sitting just above the biggest part of my tummy, so I added mitred squares to fill in the cut-outs and then picked up stitches along the hem and added another 40 rows - leaving the first and last 20 sts alone (ie not picked up).

I also decided not to graft the 21 sts of the body on each side, but instead to continue picking these up to form the sleeves (which I also made longer!)

I know I’ve made quite a few changes but I really love the pattern and I’ve actually made 5 of these cardigans already joy.
