This is a super-bulky yarn but using 4mm needles as per pattern has made a lovely thick and warm beanie.

At the point where I had only 24sts remaining (and had just completed an all-knit round), I decided to go off-pattern for a rounder top so I K2tog all the way round and then finished by grafting with Kitchener’s Stitch with the final 12 sts.
