Notes

I’ve finished the Loppem, designed by Norah Gaughan, from her third pattern book. I used needles size 5mm, and Palace yarn from Berroco. I only spent a little more than 7 bundles, and that’s even after I made the body a bit longer than the original pattern - which indicates a need for 9 bundles. The result is great, but it was strange knitting a wool cardigan with such short sleeves! Wool is usually worn when it’s cold, and you’d reckon you’d want long sleeves then, right? I guess I’ll wear a long sleeved top underneath.
The yarn feels amazingly nice, it’s 50% merino wool and 50% silk. I’m planning on knitting a sweater from the same pattern book, but even though I’ve already got the yarn it’ll have to wait. There are a few UFOs waiting in line!
