These were the first in the series of Nintendo toys for Tom for Christmas, they are also my real first attempt at toys.
I messed up the first one (the red one) and did not do the repeated rows so it turned out small. Then I realized my mistake. So the second one (the brown one which is the mushroom in the New Super Mario game that makes Mario HUGE) I did 1/2 the repeats that I skipped in the first. The final one, the green 1 up mushroom, I did as the pattern stated.

Also to make the difference between the white bottom and the mushroom top more distinct, I wove in a strand of the appropriately colored yarn around the base of the top and cinched it tightly. I think it helped and you can’t see it.
