This is an easy pattern but it’s not very clearly written. When casting on with the earflaps, the pattern says to “knit across earflap”. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to knit in pattern or just knit. Not very clear. I didn’t want a row of knit to throw off the seed stitch pattern so I knit across in the seed stitch and adjusted by adding a stitch when I started the stockinette section. I would have liked to see a better picture of the hat. The picture is cute, the baby is adorable, but you can’t see the top of the hat. I’ve never heard of a “sprout” and couldn’t see what it looked like so I didn’t do that part.
