Made for the Davis Knit Night Mermaid’s Song Knit-along. The pattern is truly lovely (gotta pay attention though, no mindless knitting here), the yarn is easy to work with and I’m loving the colorway’s brooding water shades.
Used 6mm silver foil lined beads in place of the recommended beads and I have no regrets.

4/28/14 - Done with the knitting, just the finishing and blocking to do. I added beads to the yarnovers in the third row of the body to use up the beads and to fill the holes (holes are fine if they form a lace pattern but otherwise they’re just holes.) I’m crossing my fingers that this yarn blocks well despite being a superwash. Maybe I should sacrifice a chicken for good juju. Maybe just some KFC.

5/2/14 - Blocking completed, came out fine! No chickens were harmed in the completion of this project.

8/13/14 - Won Best Overall at the County Fair! Holy Cats!
