Yes, I finished this hat in 2012. Just didn’t know if I was going to frog it or not. If my granddaughter doesn’t like it, I’m taking it back and making something else with this GORGEOUS yarn!

This hat is open at the crown for a ponytail. I guess it will need to be one of those ‘I Dream of Jeanie’ ponytails. I don’t have a picture of it ‘on’ yet.

Since the Manos yarn is so scratchy, I knit a facing in some softer merino dk with about a size 7. Then knit some k2togethers when I started with the Manos.

The button is actually sewn on to the inside of the facing and when you unbutton it, you have about a 3-inch x 1 and 1/2” little pocket - for money, a key, etc.
