Dec 7th - pics taken. The don’t quite capture the colours truly, but it’s tricky this time of year, with the natural light being thin on the ground and rather blue.
November 26th. All done. Drying after the final blocking. Pics to come.
November 18th. I fucking hate weaving in ends. Hence it’s sat in a bag for a while. Just a few left to go, though, after which another blocking and it’ll be ready to finally wear.
May 24th 2017 - went with the vest/tank top. All steeked and the arm/neck ribbing done. Now just a matter of weaving in the ends.
Feb 25th 2017 Well, a little progress was made, but not much. I’ve abandoned the idea of a sweater. It’s too complicated for me to deal with right now, what with figuring out the maths, a bit of gappiness at the decreases where the sleeves met the body, and the prospect of all those ends. I think I may save a full Fair Isle jumper for later, do it with Shetland wool and in a traditional style. In the meantime, this sweater will become a vest. Ripping out and figuring out the maths so that I can start on it again and finish it before next Xmas LOL.
May 6th 2016 - this has sat for maybe a year due to time constraints, but am now working on it again a little more regularly. Have joined the sleeves to the body, with 28 stitches put on holders under each arm on each side. Have worked seven 7 decrease rounds so far, decreasing every row. Will now switch to every other row and see how it shapes up.
Sweater is still forming in my head. Swatching for a fair isle type sweater. Not sure whether to do a more traditional shape with gussets at the armpits, or to do some type of set-in sleeeve. It’ll definitely be a v-neck, though.

Jan 20th - have started swatching with above colours, but have also added in Purple Velvet & Aquarius into the mix, for some extra contrast/pops of colour. Spending time trying out different gauges, colour combinations and patterns.
Second picture, initial inspiration, from left to right,
top row- Tutu Light, So Long Kitty, Babe, Versuchskaninchen, Amethyst Light, Lila Ludmilla, Wolke, Versuchskaninchen, Ooohm
bottom row - Meilenstein (caked), Feldmäuschen (top), Maus Jung (middle), Palomino (bottom), Versuchskaninchen (caked).
Swatching - Feldmäuschen & Mont Blanc ground (up until QED ground) on 2.75mm. QED ground, change to 3mm.
March 2nd 2014 - Just a bit more swatching to go to try a couple more things out, then will be ready to start. Ditched the Wolke & Palomino as they didn’t feel harmonious. Have decided on a v-neck sweater, knit in the round, bottom up, with set-in sleeves that will be worked in from the armpit join in a contiguous manner, as outlined in this project:

April 29th. Sweet baby Jesus…I’m still swatching LOL Granted, I’ve been busy working on other things, so this project has been on the back burner a little, but the time-out has been good, as I’ve come back a little less attached and a little more open to colours.

Cast on 372 stitches. Increase by 1 every 6 stitches to 434
