09-17-2016

This pattern was very challenging and rewarding for me. I am so delighted with the results. I wish I would have added an inch and a half to the length of the body.
It was the first time I had seen a purl stitch used for a side seam, very clever. The neck steeking was quite magical too.

I just finished my second sweater for my other granddaughter. Sure wish the girls lived closer so I could see the two of them wearing them together.
I love this little pattern, it is so well written. I found it easier to follow the chart by first transcribing it into an excel worksheet that shows how many stitches to knit in each color. See last picture.
