I purchased my yarn for this project after seeing a similar blanket at a high end store. It was ribbed just like this pattern. I loved it and decided to give this a try without experimenting with a swatch first. The yarn I chose was too heavy for this project. I’ll definitely be making this again in a fingerling weight. A good lesson learnt. Although the finished blanket is heavy, it is beautiful and cozy. I’m lightening up on the edge as not to add any further bulk or weight.
