I love the little touch of madness of Stephen, but I’ve never had the opportunity to make one of his patterns. And for a first, what is better than a mkal with 4 colors: make or break!
It’s also an occasion to try for the first time Madelinetosh, this super trendy yarn which costs a baby’s arm.
Like many, it took me some time to choose the colors. And once the yarn received, surprise, the skeins felt horribly vinegar. Yeah, the colors are really wonderful, but the smell set me to suspect something: Does the yarn bleed???
After reading reviews on the forums, I decided to wash separately the 3 colored skeins. Bam! the blue was bleeding like a crazy, impossible to stop the blue flow. Once dry and in ball, i made a sample for choosing the right needles (4.5mm for blue&pink, 4mm for blue&yellow), but also to verify if the blue will bleed again! Fortunately, this time, everything seems normal. I can finally start after a week late!
A: Antler

- Nov 8th: Started only a few hours ago, and i’ve already done 3 wedges!! I especially love the icord border, very neat.
- Nov 9th: Hop, one more wedge done.
- Nov 16th: First clue and half of brioche done.
- Nov 23th: Damn it, the sassy section took me forever!!
- Nov 28th: Finished!!! I’m in love with the wedges, and i like very much how the brioche section looks, but i’m not found of the sassy and stripes sections… I like neither the stitches nor the blending of colors, I think that green and orange don’t fit the 3 beautiful basic colors. Too bad…
