I added 24 rows to get another pattern repeat, since I’m working with fingering yarn, instead of worsted yarn.

On the last border row I have 656 stitches.

The central square took me 2.5 balls of yarn. The other 1.5 balls were used for the border lace and i-cord bind off. Meaning, the border takes a lot of yarn!
I am very happy with the result, even if I had to add another set of pattern stitches on each side, due to the fact that I went for a fingering yarn that I had in my stash. And the baby is not due for another two weeks, which is a relief!
