Notes

FEB 1 - I’ve taken this out of hibernation to work on a little. I’m awaiting yarn for my Owl WIP and working a bit on a graphed intarsia project so I needed another alternate to work on.

Not sure which other colors I’ll use yet, have a bunch of stylecraft on order for a few CAL’s…

September 16, 2018

I didn’t have any full skeins of Pink or Yellow. Found some Raspberry which goes well with the Parma violet… I grabbed a scrap ball of saffron I had in my stash to use for the center of the flower in the middle. I’m not sure yet what color I’ll use for the yellow elsewhere in the pattern. Maybe a pretty Blue…

September 23, 2018

Trying to work on this after working on the Ubuntu with thicker yarn feels so weird… Started Part 2, currently on Rnd 15. I’m using up that saffron for this round and sure hope it won’t be too missed elsewhere in the pattern.

~Yay! On the last round for this week… Its been raining all day, so an excellent Sunday of crochet and coffee. I may even start the Indian Summer CAL… I doubt I’ll be able to keep pace with all of these CAL’s but they’ll all get there eventually. :)

September 29, 2018

Very easy Part 3 Complete already which is a good thing for me crazily trying to keep up with several big CALs… wink

October 7, 2018

On Part 4. Am using Shrimp to replace the Saffron needed. I only had 15g’s left of the yellow and was sure it wouldn’t do all those popcorn stitches! Oi vey, this will be one of those rounds I pick up and put down over the day… That’s a lot of PC’s! smile

Part Four Complete.

October 9, 2018

OK, I keep looking at this and looking at this and believe it or not I may FROG all the way back to those purple flowers. I almost did it before I started the last Part. Those purple
trc PC’s are simply just TOO BIG looking, I had hoped they would look better/smaller with the addition of more rounds but not so. And the last round of all regular pcs makes it worse. Even though the orange looks okay, I think I really want a yellow there. I will think on it a bit more, but I’m pretty sure.

I looked over others project pics, their trc pc’s are big too, I think maybe mine are either too loose or maybe I picked up the wrong size hook?? Anyway getting reluctant to go that far back… however, I did find 3 small squares in the yellow for a WIP that’s been hanging around for far too long. I weighed them at 50g total. This is more than enough to redo the orange pc’s…

~I broke down and ordered some more Saffron yarn (along with some other colors I didn’t yet have) from Deramore’s in the UK. Hopefully it will get here by the end of next week…

October 12, 2018

I finally frogged it back to just before the all PC round. The yellow yarn is on order but I do have enough to do the round now thanks to finding those old squares, but I’m gonna look at it awhile and decide about those huge Purple PC’s… they continue to bother me. Although I did grab some yarn and the hook and made a few TR PC’s for comparison, as I did wonder if I’d grabbed a bigger hook by accident, but No… my TR PC’s are just that big. Gonna mull it over. Geesh! :)

October 13, 2018

Getting around to redoing this round with the yellow. After Part Five came out I was able to give it a look over… there are more TR PC’s to come, sooooo gonna get over their size and hope that adding the others will bring it all together. So weird how I can get really OCD about some silly thing yet overlook a myriad of others… wink

October 14, 2018

Finished with Part 4 Again… much happier with the yellow pc’s! Part 5 is out, and I should be able to get started on it later this evening; I can’t resist working on my Owl this rainy Sunday morning. :)

Through R56 complete.

February 21, 2019

Working on this a bit when I get chances to, new pics soon!

March 10, 2019

Still marching slowly along. I’ve had limited time for crocheting lately and have a grandbaby due in April so many of my projects here are not seeing much progress.

April 2, 2019

Currently on Rnd 60. I just finished up my Owl yesterday, and was so relieved to finally get that WIP out of the way. Like that one, this has been hanging around far too long! I need new colors and a new pattern to work because my cromojo is losing steam. I intend for this to be a baby blanket, so I’ll be stopping when I can find a good ending point for a pretty border.

April 12, 2019

Currently on Rnd 65. My time is so crunched right now, and I’m still struggling to finish up these WIP’s that have hung around far too long. I haven’t said much with regard to this particular pattern, but I do need to mention that if you are used to straightforward crochet standard pattern writing, you may find this one a little difficult to work with.

April 19, 2019

I’ve actually finished this a couple days ago to the ‘baby sized’ pattern. But I do like some of the extended part, and border options. I’ve got got quite a bit of these colors remaining, so I’m going to try to use as much of it up as I can.

My new grand daughter was born this past Sunday, so I’ve not had much time to crochet or update here or figure anything out yet. Hoping to do so over the weekend!

April 20, 2019

On Rnd 1 of the border, I found it necessary to skip 2 stitches after the sc, ch2, sc corner; 1 is somewhat hidden from the corner stitches. I’ve checked and rechecked my rounds and counts prior to this round and have no mistakes.
