Using up more of the Big Cakes yarn gifted to me. As always with this type of yarn I tried a few different patterns with it before deciding; this time I went with a simple pattern. I’m going to let the colors do their thing for a change… it’s a granny throw, it should be fine. :)

Measures 23X32 currently. I was not able to just let the colors do their thing. As I’ve indicated before when I used these types of yarn… some of the colorways are well suited to do that, but some are most definitely not. Pattern choice also plays into it… This one was very visually disturbing if the color changed mid round, so I am color correcting as I go.

This may not be the right pattern for this colorway/yarn. In looking at the skeins I have, its likely I’d have to cut them all into separate colors at some point. Hibernating it for now; I may end up frogging it. I do love the pattern, just not with this yarn…

Ok, so I went ahead and cut the last skein up to use the colors as needed. This is absolutely not a good choice of yarn for this pattern. I had initially intended to make this larger but have salvaged it from the frog pond to be a lapghan. I’d suggest blocking this piece if I were to do it again, and I’d also alternate from RS to WS to prevent the ‘slanting’.
