Notes

8/18/16: Finished weaving. The pre-wash sizes are:
Kroy Winter Eclipse: 79” x 9.5”
Pink/Green: 16” x 9.5”

8/8/16: Change in plans - working clasped weft (at least with the wool/cotton blend yarns I was working with) was not making me happy. The clasped color changes were lumpy and the selvedges were drawing in at an alarming rate. So, as I didn’t want to waste my Opal warp, I ended the pink/green colors and decided to finish off the warp by weaving with some repurposed Kroy Winter Eclipse yarn that I had salvaged from a knitting project.
I’m just making fabric at this point - possibly to be sewn into zippered project bags in the future.
ALSO - trying out a method I had seen online of using pickup sticks to align the warp. And it seems to be helping to reset those drawn in selvedge edges. I guess I just leave them in as I advance the fabric onto the front beam.

6/28/16: Warped the loom this afternoon and got a few inches weaving done. I’m trying to make the color changes random, but my mind keeps wanting to make everything even. And I need to be sure to straighten out any twists in the doubled weft in both colors.

6/27/16: Watched a few YouTube videos and decided now is the time to tackle: Clasped Weft Weaving!
