Found this project for one of my handspun yarns. I should have enough yarn to add a pattern repeat at the center point.

Got the first 34 rows and one leaf done. I like the pattern, altho the edge of my leaf seems a little wonky/loose - I am definitely doing it exactly as written. Hopefully blocking will help - could be my handspun yarn is fighting with the edges - it’s a Navajo 3-ply, so there’s a lot of twist in it! And it is not the softest yarn 100% wool and not super wash, so it kinda feels like Kauni yarn and actually has a strong wool smell (lanolin?) - so really hope a good long soak and blocking will help after the scarf is finished crossed_fingers

OK - so, “Mauch Chunky Wool Cabled PEACHY” homespun yarn definitely not working well with this pattern at all! It is just far too stiff and scratchy. Had two full pattern repeats done - ripped that all out.

Starting over with a much much softer yarn - DK weight, but can make it work: “Classic Elite Yarns Miracle” (red). Went down a size in needle and will probably be able to add an extra repeat or two of center leaf chart.

First of three balls of yarn done - and 3-1/2 leaves done. So estimating that I can probably do extra two leaves at center. Will have to watch where I am at midpoint of 2nd skein to be sure.

Finished knitting - will get it blocked in the morning.

I had more yarn than the pattern called for, so I increased the length two full pattern repeats in the middle. I ended up with 7 garter leaves on the edge, rather than the suggested 5 leaves.
