This was a test for Anna Lisek. I also joined the GAL with this project, since the test started after the GAL commenced.
Cute gnomes in two sizes, perfect for any time in the year, but especially for winter holidays!
It was a fun and quick project. I used about 3 hours to make the small gnome.
Test thread
I held two strands together to get closer the suggested yarn weight.
I didn’t staff the arms with fiber fill, but used the thread ends for stuffing. Body and hat were only stuffed lightly, since the double yarn makes the doll stiff enough to stand on its own.
The beard is made like I would make a tassel, and trimmed at the end.
I did sew a star button to the top of the hat.
My finished gnome is 13 cm heigh.
