Another test for the fabulous Jen Weissman.
Test thread is here.
Pattern is well written and clear.
Though my gauge is a bit tighter,
the hat is quite elastic and fits me perfectly (my head size is 53 cm). I would make it again using the same yarn and size.
Size: 2, adult small
Swatch: Instead of swatching, I used the gauge notes for this project, deciding to use the same needle size as in pattern.
I used Lykke interchangeables.
Modifications:
No modifications made, unless that I started the crown 0.5 cm earlier (at 14 cm) than suggested in pattern.
My hat gauge and measurements, with main needle 4.0 mm:
Unwashed:
Gauge: 22 sts/ 27 rows
Height brim to top: 21 cm
Circumference: 45 cm
Washed:
Gauge: 21.5 sts/ 27 rows
Height brim to top: 21.5 cm
Circumference: 45.5 cm
Yarn amount used: 66 g total, 137.3 meters (150.1 yards).
Skeins:
(1) 52 g. Used for double brim + joining: 36 g used, 16 g left unused.
(2) 53 g. Used for body and crown: 30 g used, 23 g left unused.
