I used lightweight sew-in buckram instead of tailor’s canvas due to availability. I also knit the handle pieces as i-cord and worked a heavy macrame cord into them (not particularly easy) instead of knitting them flat and sewing them around a cord. I was able to work a drinking straw down the tube and then run the cord through it and pull out the straw afterward.

This was definitely a quick and fun knit.
