I know this calls for fingering weight yarn, but did it in lace weight because I had two lace-weight yarns left over from other projects. It came out nicely, even if I do say it myself. I ran out of brown yarn doing the two dozen pom-poms (velvet balls) for the ends so the other 127 pom-poms are plain white. (If I had had a full skein, it would have been fine, but I had already made most of a pair of elbow-length mitts out of this skein.)

It was really hard to get motivated to make 150+ pom-poms, but I’m glad I eventually did. It will be really cute to wear to Civil War era events and is a little unusual.
