Notes

The pattern calls for holding two laceweight unplied strands together, but I had a two-ply loosely twisted wool left over from another project and decided to use it instead. I’m not a serious Tudor reenactor so this slight anachronism doesn’t bother me.

I didn’t care for the frilled cuff, but I wanted the patterned wristband. I didn’t like the way the knitted hem looked with the wristband so I took the first few rows from the frilled cuff and started with knit two rows, purl two rows, wristband pattern and continue as patterned.

I needed 35 rows between the increases for the forearm and the elbow and 45 rows between the increases for the bicep and the shoulder.
