Notes

Project notes as I went:

-My gauge was way off, even though I made a gauge swatch that was perfect. Medium should have been small enough, but ended up being too big. Started all over and now working it in a small. It’s still much bigger than the small (it is more medium in size), even though I crochet tightly. Also subtracted two stitches from the back to make it smaller.

-Waistband also needed to be changed - needed to use the smaller hook to maintain proper gauge.

-Added length to the torso by adding 4 additional rounds.

-This pattern is definitely not for a beginner. It requires concentration and focus to get the cable sections right and can be difficult to follow in some sections.

-Making adjustments to the size (lengthening the torso) is confusing. I printed those parts of the pattern so I could make proper notes to make sure I had the proper sections correct. Once I made those notations on the pattern and figured it out, it wasn’t so difficult.

-Working on sleeves now - made them 22” to accommodate his longer arms. This required rounds 41-70 to reach desired length.

-Cuff instructions has a minor error - it says to “ch 5”, but it should be “ch 15”.
