Notes

I knitted and designed this tunic for myself. I wanted something cozy and warm for those nights when I want to sit by the fire after a long walk in the winter park. I used two shades of gray to add interest and to use up my yarn. I wanted a long tunic, so I knew that I wouldn’t have enough of dark gray color.

I knitted the body from the bottom up in the round. Cable patterns go along the center of the back and front to add texture and vertical lines to the design.
Both sleeves are knitted from the bottom up as well. There is a cable pattern going along the center of the sleeves as well.
Then body and sleeves are connected to form the upper part. Decreases are made along the raglan lines. Sleeves and body are worked in different colors using intarsia method. The collar is knitted in the lighter color and made a bit wide on purpose.

All in all I am very happy with my tunic. What a nice and comfy number for my cozy winter weekends!
