The Pattern is available for free and is found here.
The tutorial was available online on Katherine’s website under her Sock Workshop. I don’t know if there was a glitch, or she moved it, but tried recently to open them and I could not get the links to work for me. Fortunately I had printed off the whole workshop before I started the pattern.
11/18/2011 - Cast on. Using a ADDI Turbo 40” size 2 circular needle and doing two at a time.
Knit to row 10 of plain area.
11/20/2011 Beginning of gusset.
11/25/11 Finish gusset and turning sock of one sock.
I separated the socks onto separate needles to turn the heel. The first sock remained on the circulars.
Put second sock on DPNs for turning of the heel. I ended up dropping stitches and now I will have to go rip out a few rows to be able to pick them up correctly. I hate DPNs. I will probably finish the first sock on the circular needle, and then put the 2nd sock back on the circular and finish the 2nd one.
Did I mention I hate DPNs?? Well I do.
11/26/11 I am very close to finishing sock #1, but I can barely keep my eyes open. I will finish these tomorrow.
11/27/11 Finished 1st sock and weaving in ends. Now on to fix dropped stitches on 2nd sock and finish.
11/28/11 Finished 2nd sock and grafted the toe closed. I love these socks, and can’t wait to send them on for Christmas.
This pattern is probably best for a Women’s Small or Medium size sock. I have a size 9-10 foot and these socks fit but are just a tad on the snug size.
