Finally! I finished at least some of my Christmas presents!

I really like them, that’s the reason I’ll give them to you! Nooooo, not the knitted pieces, “just” the patterns :)!

Kuschelmonster (cuddly monster) is a fun hat, fast and easy knitting - knit it up easily til Christmas!

You can make the Kuschelmonster out of any fun fur, plush or pompon yarn. You can make any size you like.
I knitted the fun yarn with a much smaller needle to get a compact and windtight fur.

To make the Kuschelmonster hat fit properly, it is important to make a swatch to get a gauge for the yarn with this needle size.

Kuschelmonster is knitted in stockinette stitch in rounds. The neck part is longer than the front, so the hat won’t slip over the eyes. This is done by short rows. The “ears” are shaped by crochet cords that are pulled through the hat sides. This enables you to fit the hat exactly to the length of the head. Next year if the child has grown, you can reposition the cords, the Kuschelmonster will be his or her favorite hat for another year.

The eyes and the nose of Kuschelmonster are crocheted. They are done in parts and sewn to the hat. The lower edge of the hat is also finished with single crochet.

Knitting techniques that maybe are not known, like provisional cast-on or German short rows, are explained in the attachment.

Ich habe endlich einen Teil meiner Weihnachtsgeschenke fertig!

Und weil sie mir so gut gefallen, schenke ich sie gleich an euch weiter! Nein, nicht die fertig gestrickten Teile, “nur” die Anleitungen dazu :)!

Das Kuschelmonster ist eine schnell und einfach gestrickte witzige Mütze - die wird bis Weihnachten garantiert noch fertig!

Das Kuschelmonster kann aus jedem beliebigen Pelz-, Plüsch- oder Bommelgarn gestrickt werden, in der Größe, in der man es haben will.
Das Effektgarn wird dabei extrem fest verstrickt, damit es einen schönen dichten und winddichten Pelz bildet.
Wichtig für das Kuschelmonster ist eine Maschenprobe mit dem Garn, das verwendet werden soll, damit die Mütze hinterher auch wirklich passt!

Das Kuschelmonster wird in Runden rechts gestrickt. Verkürzte Reihen sorgen dafür, dass es im Nacken länger als vorn ist und dadurch nicht über die Augen fällt. Die „Öhrchen“ werden im Nachhinein mit eingezogenen Schnüren gebildet; dadurch kann die Mützenhöhe dem Kopf genau angepasst werden und auch im nächsten Jahr bei einem größeren Kopf neu angepasst und
getragen werden.

Augen und Nase des Kuschelmonsters werden einzeln gehäkelt und aufgenäht. Auch die Unterkante der Mütze wird mit festen Maschen gehäkelt.

Verwendete Stricktechniken wie verkürzte Reihen und provisorischer Anschlag, die nicht jedem geläufig sind, werden im Anhang erklärt.
Grundlegende Häkelkenntnisse sollten vorhanden sein.
