As tester and German translator for Iman van der Kraan Haaksteek I didn’t make a baby blanket but an “Everyday Hug” for my mom for her 86th birthday.
It is a fast and easy work with an excellent, beginner-friendly explanation, lots of detail and how-to photos - thank you, Iman, for another wonderful pattern!
In these difficult times you can use it to
- welcome a new baby from afar
- send a hug to a beloved elderly or handicapped person
- send some comfort to people you can’t visit personally
- give yourself comfort by making something so nice for someone you care for
I’m sure especially isolated people in nursery homes will be very happy to get a nice heart-, soul- and body-warming lapghan as a charity project - the pattern is free and will stay free!
The Mareya blanket is a miniCAL that will start on March 26th here on Ravelry or in Iman’s Facebook group Haaksteek - the 3 parts will be released weekly.
The pattern is available in 12 languages - thanks to our fabulous Haaksteek team!
I used some stash yarn 100% wool, 300 m / 100 g.
That’s what I needed:
B teal 140 g,
green 60 g,
variegated 1 40 g,
variagated 2 26 g
approx. 85 x 85 cm after gentle blocking
