As the Basic Dave Socks (as knit - without the extra length Dave suggests for himself) except

• tubular cast on, 4 rounds (2 show) in double knitting, switch to k2p2
• 30 rnds (as appears in knit ribs) in cuff
• 80 rnds st st to heel

Cast-on was too tight, cut cuff & re-knit it toe-up. 32 rnds, 2x2 ribbing, k2tog cast-off. 2nd sock - provisional cast on, knit leg, repeat cuff toe-up.

This is an awesome yarn - under natural light it looks mostly black, maybe not entirely solid, but black. Under bright sunlight, it is very clearly a green/blue mix, no black.
