27 Feb. Loving how this is coming together. Like others who have made this I couldn’t make the stitch counts work properly on Row 20 (did not add up to 220) but I fudged it and it’s fine.

The yarn is beautiful and soft. I’m a little concerned that the colour, being dark, isn’t really going to show the detail of the design terribly well, but hopefully it will open up more once blocked.

With the Cnupps, I’ve found that on the return pass I can complete them more easily if I count the horizontal bars as I move back along. Knowing how many there should be on either side of the Cnupp means I always bring the hook through the correct number of wraps.

5 March: On the second chart repeat, (row 33) which is slow going. Keen to finish as I want to begin my next project (I’m joining the TCAL (Tunisian Crochet-A-Long) being run by The Crochet Circle Podcast group.

TOP TIP: On row 27, you do a Cnupp on every 7th stitch, while increasing in the 17th, then every subsequent 34th stitch. I can barely keep one set of counts in my head, so I used a stitch marker to mark the stitch into which the next increase was due.
