Notes

When visiting Colorado (and of course The Loopy Ewe!) I bought two skeins of beautiful Mountain Colors Bearfoot because of the beautiful colors and the warmth the yarnbase promises.
Now I’m knitting warm socks for myself while I am remembering a wonderful week :)

4 x 17 sts
1 x 1 ribbing
broken rib pattern
all in all very simple

Luckily the skein was above 100 g - one finished sock weighs 54 g and I still got 74 g yarn :)

The second pair I knit toe up to better utilize the amount of yarn (the skein weighed 127 g).
It worked pretty well (after doing one practice heel thrice until it worked out), and these are almost knee socks.
The yarn is warm and wonderful and it would be a shame to not knit to it’s full extent.
Love the Headwaters colorway.

4 x 16 sts
broken rib
1 x 1 ribbing
increasing six sts. in the sock shaft to accommodate the length of the socks and my rather sturdy calves

December 2013: I love my bearfoots, they are very warm and comforting!
