The name is derisively coined by the fiance, but I like it, so I’ll keep it.
A fun and inspiring project.

Mods and notes:

• Gauge: 22 pr 10 cm
• Cast on for 2 year size, knit 3 year length
• 4 by 4 rows.
• Increases in legs and arms every 6 row (every 1.5 stripes)
• Legs: 20 stripes total
• Body: 22 stripes up to the arms
• Arms: 21 stripes
• Knit in the round and crotchet steeked, so I added 5 stitches for cutting. The pattern actually suggest knitting flat, but Kauni is sticky enough that steeking was a good option.
• Knit the arms top down, in an attempt to make the colors more unified. Cast on the tops of the arms with provisional cast on.
• Sidebands knit with yarn held double. Picked up 2/3 of stitches.
• Approx 11 stitches between each button hole on the side band.

Progress:
May 6: Cast on
May 12: finished legs (knit both at same time - magic loop)
May 19: Finished body up to the arms.
May 26: Sick and tired of knitting the arms. The ribbing is still left, but I am giving them a rest.
May 27: The advantage of knitting the arms top-down: Removed the provisional cast of and started on the raglan, even though the arms aren’t done. Miscalculated the amount of yarn needed, so had to switch to a different skein. Hopefully the transition won’t be noticeable.
May 28: Raglan finished. Cut steek. Started sidebands.
May 29: Sidebands finished. Neck ribbing finished. Hibernated project for 3 days because of this project.
June 1: Weaving in ends etc. Finished!
