The rectangle part was much easier to comprehend when I realized it was worked diagonally.

I worked the first nine rounds before fully realizing I had made a mistake in the FIRST round. Ripped it back.

Worked through ten and realized I’d made a mistake I couldn’t ignore in round nine. Ripped it back. You’d think I would have learned to read more carefully. Nope.

Worked through 11 and realized I’d made a mistake in ten. Not kidding.

Between the text and the photo provided in the pattern, I’m working more carefully now (I say that, but I’m still on round 11). It’s very enjoyable stitching, and I’m very motivated to make this beautiful so I haven’t minded the ripping back too much. Here’s to NO MORE.

I will have a couple of progress photos to post soon. It’s coming along and I have no regrets about ripping back some rows and getting it right. It’s awfully scallop-y as I’m working, so I really hope that blocking helps flatten it.
