Have you ever had that skein of yarn that “speaks” to you? That was the yarn I made this cowl with. I picked it up during the Yarn Along the Rockies Yarn Crawl in 2012. I would have bought multiple skeins, but the shop only had the one. I placed with my other stash in the guest bedroom upstairs. There were times when I’d go upstairs just to look at the yarn. It’s sooooo pretty. It always lifted my spirits.

But yarn like this should be used. It should be enjoyed & shared with the world. It took me awhile to find the perfect pattern for it, especially since there wasn’t a whole lot of yarn. I feel like I succeeded. This pattern is not only beautiful, but an absolute delight to work up. I could do it all day long. I crocheted until I was out of yarn.

I’m very pleased with the final product. I had a little helper when photographing it. “Hat! Hat!”, she said as she put it on her head. Funny kid!
