I’m planning on going to Belarus for New Year’s and I figured that I’d need a decent jumper in anticipation of ice and snow. I’ve always wanted to test the Álafoss lopi because I’ve only used Létt lopi so far but to be honest, Belgian winters really don’t require anything warmer than that. I also like the fact that the knitting goes super fast! Hopefully I’ll be finished until the end of the year.

I finished the jumper but it turns out to be VERY short, even for me who likes rather short tops. I followed the instructions for my regular size and it also matched another Létt lopi cardigan I knitted before but the Álafoss lopi seems to be less stretchy. I haven’t decided yet if I should start over because the prospect of unraveling the whole thing is not very tempting (seeing though it is knitted bottom-up this means basically starting from scratch…).

I like the rest of it though, the yoke pattern came out really nicely (I knitted it with three colours) and the Álafoss lopi is nice and warm but not too scratchy. I can only advise to knit a size up or alter the overall length to make it fit better.
