After the “Sally” project was a disaster I thought I’d try something easier with a top-down structure and this seems doable! I need to integrate two different colours though and I’m planning to offset them with a scallop pattern, let’s see how that works out…

Update 1:
The jumper is progressing nicely, now I just need to add the sleeves and it’ll be done! I have a long train ride ahead of me this weekend so chances are that it’ll be finished soon.

Update 2:
Aaaaaargh, I ran out of yarn! I’m almost finished with the second sleeve and I only need a few more centimetres but I don’t have enough dark blue…. keeping my fingers crossed that I can still get an extra skein from the shop where I bought it originally.

Update3:
Finished! I managed to find an extra skein from the same dye lot and now I still have some left of course. I washed the jumper and it stretched a little but that doesn’t matter because it was a loose fit anyway. Very happy with the colour combination.

In hindsight I should have probably started the scallop pattern a little higher up (so that it’s not right across the boobs) and I should have knitted the neckline with smaller needles or DPNs to give it more shape. Noted down for the next project.
