I’m using up a lot of variegated yarns in my favorite style for children’s hats. This Mexicana did not pool as nicely as earlier hats. I tried a size 7 instead of 8, and it still did not pool. It looks like the color changes are shorter in this batch. On third of the series, the Spring Green did not go with the green of Neon Stripes, so I finished the hat with black. On the fourth of the series, I used Bernat Super Value Solids-Bright Yellow. I like that better than black to go with Mexicana. Especially in the darker half of the year, when black is difficult for me to see.
