Left hat is small preemie, 44 sts around. Right hat is 48 sts. I added a tight 4-st cable to the 8-inch panel at center front. Maybe that gave the hat a smaller circum¬ference.

Notes

I searched for patterns made with Simply Soft. I easily changed this from flat knitting to circular. Smaller is on 44 sts. I put the cable panel on eight sts at center front. Jan 2 2022-DD wanted something feminine on the blue caps. Jan 27 2022-She wore the smallest first, the preemie hat with the pink flower.
