I know that I am a tight crocheter, so I went up a half size on the hook to get the same gauge as the pattern.

I attempted it first with a sport ply cotton, but it was either going to be too small or very thin. I switched to stash yarn. It was a pound of either Carron or the Store Brand from Michael’s. I bought a pound each of several colors a few years ago while I was traveling. I live in a location where yarn is expensive, so I filled an entire large suitcase with yarn during that trip. LOL.

It is a dusty rose type color, sort of close to a lavender.

Making for a friend’s baby who will be the first girl with four boy siblings. Due in October.
