Notes

This lace yarn is fabulous! I will definitely be using Freia again. I loved the ombre effect, and I choice the Citron pattern in part because it was top down - allowing me to start at the darkest part and work down.

Some key things to note:

  • this yarn hides mistakes well. Great when you’re working with lace yarn and so many stitches.

  • I got more than the standard repeat with this pattern. There are at least five, I think, in this one. So you really get a lot of mileage with one skein.

  • This is unblocked (go ahead flog me with a Trader Joe’s yellow carrot).

  • gradient yarns - especially those that go from dark to light - need to be worked top down. You want to draw the eye up not down. So the darkest part needs to be by your face.
