Notes

Oh no, I have “crochet block” again, I couldn’t decide what to make, so I decided a stash busting granny would fit the bill.

I am using Cath Kidston inspired colours again, but this time I am bordering the squares with blue.

I am making 5 and 10 round granny squares, using the blue on round 5 and 10 of each square.

I made this blanket before here, but had to place the squares differently, because I was running out of the red, this time I am following the pattern layout.

I’m not sure what size it will end up being, I will carry on until inspiration for another project takes place.

I have got a little carried away with this blanket, it was meant to be a throw size, but it has been bumped up to a single bed size now, now Libby has claimed it for her holiday caravan and wants a double bed size blanket.

I am running out of the main blue, so will have to see if my dd (bitsandbobs79) has any, or will have to make a purchase on-line, so much for the stash busting!

My next project is waiting patiently to be started, so hopefully it won’t be too long now.

I use Bunny Mummy’s technique for the first round of border here. So no ruffle edging.

Border:

This is a tilted granny stitch, very easy and effective I think.

For the corner I worked 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc.then 1 dc into next space in between clusters, ch 3 and work 3 dc around the post of the 1st dc.
