I came across the pink/red/white heart granny square cardigan on the net and I showed it to my granddaughter Annabel.

She immediately asked for one for when she goes back to Uni in September.

I did 6 round grannies, the final round being the colour of the heart, as I’m making my cardigan with dk yarn, which is finer than the worsted weight yarn used in the tutorial, which results in smaller squares.

I managed to remember to change the directions of the heart when I changed from the back to front pieces, but unfortunately I didn’t think about the sleeves.

I completed the cardigan and then realised that the hearts on the sleeves were the wrong way, so I had to take the sleeves off and re-attach them the right way, which resulted in an extra days work.
