I saw a beautiful blanket on Instagram here and decided I would have a go.

I don’t like Stylecraft Duck Egg, so I used Hayfield Frost Blue. I used Misty Grey instead of Silver as it’s slightly lighter in shade.

This blanket is going to be for my new grandson due in November. We are embracing the blues now that we know we are having another boy.

I have followed the pattern for this one. I was going to add another repeat, but i’m glad I didn’t as it is coming out quite big.

I’m getting through it quite quickly as it’s been very hot this week, so I spent the time keeping cool indoors and crocheting.

Border:

I went around the whole blanket with a sc row using blue on blue, white on white etc. Followed by 2 rounds on hdc in frost blue.
