Notes

This is Stash-Down Blanket No: 9. You can see all of my other blankets in my 2018 Stash-Down Blanket Extravaganza here.

I have chosen colours out of my comfort zone for this one. I like them all individually, but not to sure if they will play well together when I make my squares.

Trying not to be too precious with it and going with the flow. It is a stash-buster blanket after all and it will keep someone warm in the colder months, although I am having difficulty imagining the cooler temps at the moment. It is sweltering here in the UK.

For the border I went around with clusters for 3 rounds, using this technique for the first round to avoid ruffling and for the fourth round I did a tilted granny stitch as follows:

I used the jayg method to join the squares, tutorial here.

Border:

Ch 3 in any space in between clusters. (I start in the corner), then 3 dc in the same space. Slip st into next space, 3ch and then work 3 dc in same space. Very simple and effective.

Luna isn’t going to move so I can take my photo. I managed to take the photo and then Luna and Lexy thought they would take advantage of a photo shoot!

Used up 930 gms of yarn.

I have just had a count-up and have calculated that we have used up 10,350.00 gms of yarn so far after 11 blankets. Not bad going. I wish I had weighed the yarn bags before we started now.
