This blanket is for dd Cathy’s best friend Katrina for baby Thomas who is due to be born early January. Up-date: Obviously baby Thomas was not in any hurry to arrive, he was born 25 January 2015 at 11 p.m.

I have made 3 Noah’s Ark blankets together as we have 3 new babies to finish blankets for. It makes it a little easier to make 3 of everything at the same time, no re-visiting the pattern.

I will be glad when they are finished. I have new yarn in purple ready and waiting for a new aran blanket to be started for dd Cathy.

I couldn’t face making even more crochet letters for the name, so I dug out my cross-stitch supplies and stitched Thomas and his date of birth onto some aida band that I had. I backed it with iron-on interfacing and stitched it to the blanket all ready for Cathy to give to Thomas when she visits him.
