I saw a picture of my little sister wearing a store bought hat on her last vacation and thought that this just won’t do. She was leaving on her next trip in ten days. The game was on!

Several swatches later, with an eye on the calendar, the final product came to life and went directly to UPS. Sadly, the deadline ruled out time for decent photography, so the color - which is my favorite part - doesn’t really come through on these pics. :(

She reported that it the colors work with her jacket! And she was delighted with her initial that I embroidered inside to mark the back.

This is a scrappy project, a combination of Peace Fleece, Harrisville, Julia, some Cascade 220, and maybe even a row of Malabrigo.
