In the mood to make brightly-coloured fiddly little toys, so making more rainbow ornaments. Using the same mods as the first batch.

Tips: I don’t weave in the ends. Instead, at the colour changes, I knot the yarns together and push them inside the toy. Also, the shape improves with aggressive blocking.

• Cast on 16 sts in purple or dark blue, join in the round
• Knit around
• KFB around (32 sts)
• Knit around
• Change to blue and knit 2 rounds
• Change to green and knit 1 round
• KFB around (64 sts)
• Change to yellow and knit 2 rounds
• Change to orange or pink and knit 2 rounds
• Change to red and knit 3 rounds
• Divide sts in half and do a 3-needle bind off on the WS (push the fabric between the needles so that it’s inside-out; after binding off, push the fabric through the CO edge to turn it rightside-out)
• Stuff lightly, add ribbon hanger, and sew CO edge shut

May 17, 2020: Over 20 completed. Gave some away, made more ornaments but stopped counting. I continue to make these to use up scrap yarn, but no longer need to keep this project open as a “WIP”.
