December 14, 2015:

I’ve been side-lined from running by injury, so… back to knitting. Appropriating green and brown yarn from this unfinished project.

February 8, 2020:

Starting this for real this time.

I finished the “unfinished project” so am using inexpensive tan and dark brown acrylic instead.

Futurama photos for reference, especially the eyes.

I’m knitting this project at the same time as this frog, which follows the pattern exactly as written. As I learn how the original is constructed, I can make Hynotoad modifications for this project.

Not entirely happy with the FO, but should I attempt this again, I now know to make the body shorter and more squat.
